My wife's a Babe!!!!!

These are some pics Jax sent me while I was at work last week. She's lost 27lbs in a month, and as sexy as she was before, she's even more so now. She took them on her K750i and then changed the colour using picasa....

I couldn't keep my mind on my work that day. I can't think why....

Egg Head

PJ yesterday took it upon himself to liven our day by knocking himself unconscious, as you do. He was trying to climb the book shelf in the backroom which Jax and I have told him off about time and time again. As you may guess he didn't really take notice and decided to give it go again yesterday morning while I was traveling to work. Jax nipped into the kitchen and came back to find him with his feet on the bottom shelf. It toppled over and knocked him face first in to the carpet which gave him a nose bleed and whacked him on the back of the skull, knocking him out. Jax was panic stricken as he seemed to go rather quiet, and called a ambulance and then called me, by which time he seemed to be bit woozy but was voicing his opinion of the incident.
I rang Jax back as I was still traveling to work when she called and waited for the ambulance to turn up before I left. They said they wouldn't take him in as he was hit on the thick part of his skull (making a nice egg) and his nose was just bleeding from being mushed into the carpet. But to give it a little time and try to clear the clot and if things don't improve take him to the docs. So I came home from my short half-hour working day and by the time I got there he seemed to be right as rain, climbing the furniture again and causing general havoc. When exactly do kids learn fear??

My World Rule

I've been thinking about this some more as I seem to have been rather distracted by something rather important. That’s having a life, I’m always busy and there is always something that needs doing. Even when there is free time it’s taken up with some sort of past-time, activity or socializing. This has made me think some more about current and past rulers, dictators and other such people. Where they just bored? Did they just not have enough in the life to fill up that free time, so filled it out with some sort of dictatorship/rule/presidency.

I look at this in the same way for the rule of the once British Empire, we invaded everywhere, bossed everyone about, and general got hated by everyone. Why did we do this? I feel it was down to the following: Lack of central heating causing us to constantly look for somewhere warmer and drier. But once found that place we’d complain about the hot weather and lack of decent rain. Could it also be simply down to boredom? I mean if you had a choice between shaving sheep, ploughing fields and working in a mine what would you do (not that these are not honourable jobs, just not for everyone). That does not explain the people who lead them there, the snobs, toffs, over educated and general upper class (I’m sure this was not true of all of them too). But there lays the problem, not much to do, all the foxes have been chased, books read, workers whipped, vast fortunes gambled away. You need some more sport, some sort of activity... So off round the world you go. Conquering new places with lots of people lesser then you (in their eyes) that you can fight, rule, and force to do your bidding.
But the world grew up, life got better (so they say) the gaps between the rich and poor became smaller and the countries you took over became angry.
Then the corgi engineer came round and put in gas central heating, with hot running water and visits to the warmer places became just to bothersome. Entertainment industry took off and everyone became busier trying to survive.
So what’s all this got to do with my future world rule... nothing, I just had a thought and wanted to share.
But I do plan to keep my people quiet with a free xbox/PS/nintendo and lots of central heating/air conditioning. After all if it’s to nice indoors to go out who's going to oppose my world rule.

Note: None of the comments above are based on any facts, truths, or even thought though in any amount. It’s just a rambling so treat it as such.

Comic Chat

When I was still a very young man and the internet was only available to you on 14k, 28k, and later 33k modems. I had a PC, with a 28k internet connection that I paid £14.99 (I think) a month for. I browsed the internet with its simple pages, and the odd flashy one that had frames while chatting to people on MS Comic Chat. But MS in there wisdom got rid of MS chat some time in 2001.
But still we chat, over MSN messager, AOL, yahoo, ICQ, or a Linux clone. You know what, I miss Comic Chat. I loved the way your little persons expression would change, the little speach bubbles that formed, and the way it reacted to some words. I had lots of friends all over the world that I chated to, that I now will probably never talk to again. But then I found this...

So I can Comic chat again, Woo hoo! Now just need to get it setup sometime one night.

PJ's Rather Quiet

Jax was out Saturday night and Sunday morning living it up in the 'exciting' town of Farnbough. So while she was away I had little PJ to myself. He was a little bit teary as he's got a bit of a cold and the constant wiping of his nose gets him rather stressed. So while I went into the other room to do something I left PJ with his toys. After about 5-10 mins I thought to myself, PJ's rather quiet. Went into the living room to find this; first pic on the right.
After that morning of wanton toilet paper destruction and frustration venting PJ was getting a little teary, so I gave him a cuddle. 2 minutes in my arms and he nodded off, so I sat there for a hour and let him snooze. Posted by Picasa
