About Me
- Name: Dan
- Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire, United Kingdom
I live in Portsmouth, Hampshire with my gorgeous wife Jax, and our lovely son PJ (Peter John) and our equally lovely daughter Josie. I'm in my 40's now (75), working in the IT sector. Most of the time building, configuring and designing UNIX/Linux servers for various companies. IBM, SSE, CLS and lots more. In my own time, not the bit that involves home, kids and other such things I like to paint and draw. A mix of digital art at the moment and miniature painting. I also own a couple of motorcycles, though they don't see the time they once did. A selection of my favorite words are: Coracle…. (Small, ancient, round boat. Just fits one). Oscillate…. (To rotate back and forth). Badger…. (Self-explanatory I think). I also like the word ‘perpendicular’ too, though Jax did have to explain it to me.

You're not meant to lie on your side when you take photos!
AH! I get it.You were sitting in PJ's stroller and it tipped over and snap, a whole stream of Spinaker pics.
:)
I was trying to get the 'whole' of the tower in.... plus I liked the look of it.. I'm going to make a little montarge later...
Is a 'montage' a new kind of 'balti'?
Sounds delicious!
ok.. don't take the piss out of my bad spelling... :-(
Didn't even notis it was spelt rong until you menchoned it.:)
The sideways pic was er interesting! I had vertigo just looking at it. Where is the Spinnaker Tower?
The Spinnaker Tower is at Gunwharf Quay in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK. It's only just opened now but the external lift is shut still. This is because in heavy wind it judders and jams on the track. Some council dignitaries were stuck in it at the top for 4 hours, then ended up having to climb out of the roof of the lift and onto a small platform with a ladder to get them back inside! Scary! It's 170 metres tall! (Approx 558 feet)
